Newbury - a nice little city

Have you ever heard of this little town in England? It is actually quite a sweet place but to be honest living here would bore me to death. Let me explain why. Newbury has around 30,000 inhabitants, which is not bad at all. It is a sweet little town in the South of England, roughly an hour away from London. So, last weekend I was invited to a house warming party in Newbury and my friends told me 'We will go to the best club in town!', 'Kukui is great. You will love it' and 'We will have loads of fun tonight!'. Well, being the blonde naive girl that I am, I totally believed them. Turns out Kukui is the ONLY club in Newbury - no wonder it is 'the best club in town since there is no other one. And I would most definitely not say I was loving it. It was fun, do not get me wrong on that, but I have been to better clubs before!

Well, that was my amazing nightlife experience in Newbury. Am I recommending it? Naah not really.

Next to this best club in town, Newbury has actually a really nice and sweet center. Look at the pics I made the other day. It does look cute I think. But what really stunned me and I did NOT expect was the canal! It looked really gorgeous to be honest. Might not come through on the pictures but I was definitely amazed by it. And who is able to spot the little pirate flag?? MEEE! Haha of course...

To all the Downton Abbey lovers out there, apparently Highclere Castle is like 10 minutes away from Newbury. I haven't been there yet and I am not a Downton Abbey Fan but whilst I am here I can still have a look at the oh so famous Tv Show Castle ;)

Talk to you soon lovely people of the internet! Enjoy your weekend. I know I will

Hello London, nice to see you again!

So I recently moved to London. I absolutely adore this city. It could not have been better! Honestly, who does not like UK’s capital? Everyone who has been here definitely knows what I am talking about. Just the spirit itself amazes me but also all the options and possibilities you have. It literally never ever gets boring. There are so many things to do. Sightseeing, strolling through Camden Town, having a burger at Shake Shack in Covent Garden, sipping on a coffee in Little Venice, … I have a lot of more things I could add to this list but for the sake of this post, let’s keep it simple.

But have you ever tried to find a flat in a city where it is nearly impossible to find a good flat for a decent price? No? Really? Count yourself lucky! It is such a big hassle. Looking up flats online, contacting the agents and arranging views which get cancelled last minute because the flats get rent out the same day you want to have a look at them. Let me tell you, NOT FUN AT ALL! So, basically, as you might have already guessed, I am looking for a flat in London and I am hoping I will find one very soon! I just want to move in and get settled. You simply cannot arrive in your new home town whilst living out of a suitcase in a hotel. I am really looking forward to the day I finally find a flat and I can arrive in London. Just living in your own four walls is way more comfortable than staying in a hotel.
In the mean time, I will enjoy the weather (yes, it is sunny at the moment! Does not stop me to take an umbrella in my handbag 24/7 though – you just never know with the weather here in England) and stroll through London and enjoy myself. First of all, I will finish my coffee! As you can see, I was enjoying a cup of coffee whilst writing this post. Who doesn't like a cup of coffee? And yes that is a filofax! I love planning my day. It is very handy if you have a busy work life. You just don't lose the overview :)
Have an amazing and hopefully sunny Sunday!
